Floresta, Sony Pictures Television’s (SPT) production company in Brazil, announced that, after 11 years at the helm, partner and managing director of Creative Elisabetta Zenatti will be departing in July.

As a result, SPT will acquire her shares and fully own the company. Adriana “Dida” Silva has been named VP & managing director, International Production, Floresta, and will assume oversight of the company.

Silva, who is based in São Paulo, Brazil, will report to Ana Bond, SVP and managing director of International Production for Latin America and U.S. Hispanic at SPT.

“It has been my greatest professional fulfillment to have founded Floresta and brought it to what it is today. I grew and evolved with this wonderful team whose dedication, talent, and passion are mirrored in Floresta’s successful shows. I can’t stress enough my gratefulness to Wayne Garvie and the team at Sony Pictures. The Studio has been a great partner throughout these years. Now I have decided to move on to the next challenge in my career with the certainty that Floresta, under the capable direction of Dida and Ana Bond, is positioned as one of the best production companies in Brazil and set for continued growth,” said Zenatti.

“Elisabetta is a force of nature. She started Floresta from scratch, handpicked a stellar team, including Dida, and, under her leadership, they produced over 100 hours of premium content, making Floresta into the powerhouse it is today. Dida has been a brilliant partner at Floresta for almost a decade, seamlessly managing countless projects. With her, Floresta is in fantastic hands,” said Wayne Garvie, President, International Production for SPT.

“It has been an incredible experience working alongside Elisabetta over the years and I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from one of the best in the business. The Floresta team and I are excited to work with Ana leading the company on its successful path in creating and producing a wide range of high-quality productions for our clients in Brazil and to share our stories and ideas with those around the world,” said Silva.
