Premieres of La Suerte de Loli and Buscando a Frida were #1 in US Hispanic prime time

Telemundo’s triple premiere night this past Tuesday, January 26th, delivered more than 7.1M engagements among linear, digital, and social platforms, fueled by the premiere of its two newest original scripted series, La Suerte de Loli and Buscando a Frida, which both ranked as the #1 Spanish-language shows on linear among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 at 9pm and 10pm, respectively. Telemundo cemented its position as the leader in streaming for US Hispanics drawing record-breaking multiplatform viewership and social buzz throughout the night, also ranking as the #1 most social broadcast network, regardless of language, during primetime.
According to Nielsen, La Suerte de Loli, starring beloved Mexican actress Silvia Navarro, delivered 1.5M total viewers and 647,000 Adults 18-49 on linear, outperforming Univision by +8% in the Adult 18-49 demo, and generated a total of 2.2M engagements across platforms. The series ranked as the most social primetime program across all broadcast networks. Locally, Telemundo also ranked as the #1 broadcast network, regardless of language, in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Houston, and Dallas among adults 18-49 for the 9pm timeslot.
At 10pm, the action-packed thriller Buscando a Frida delivered 1.2M Total Viewers and 539,000 Adults 18-49 on linear, according to Nielsen, outperforming Univision by +15% in the Adult 18-49 demo. Locally, Telemundo ranked as the #1 broadcast network, regardless of language, in Los Angeles and Miami, and as the #1 Spanish-language network in Chicago among Adults 18-49 in the timeslot.
The new season of Exatlón EE UU, the #1 sports reality competition on Hispanic television, increased its 7-9pm timeslot by more than 50% on linear and ranked as the #1 most social Hispanic broadcast program in its daypart. Locally, Telemundo ranked as the #1 broadcast network, regardless of language, in Miami, among adults 18-49 during the premiere episode. Exatlón EE UU is an Acunmedya production for Telemundo.
Tuesday’s new primetime line-up also broke live linear streaming records on the Telemundo app, delivering +41% overall growth, with each show surpassing its respective timeslot average.
La Suerte de Loli is an original story by Lorena Miraglia and María José Riera, adapted by Ricardo Álvarez and Amaris Páez. It is directed by Miguel Varoni, Danny Gavidia and Richard Schwarz. Elizabeth Suárez is responsible for the general production, and Karen Barroeta and Marcos Santana are the executive producers.
Buscando a Frida is an adaptation of the Chilean drama ¿Dónde está Elisa? that tells the story of the idyllic Pons family and how their lives changed suddenly when their daughter, Frida, mysteriously disappeared.
The latter is a Telemundo Global Studios production under the direction of Carlos Villegas, Felipe Aguilar, and Mauricio Corredor, with the executive production of Marcos Santana, Karen Barroeta, Ximena Cantuarias, and Monica Vizzi, and the script adaptation under the responsibility of Sandra Velasco.
