Telemundo and Globo closed a deal to co-produce the version in Spanish for the US of the Brazilian miniseries Amores Robados, from Globo, according to Variety. The production will be shot in midyear in Colombia.

The original series was launched in 2014, starring Isis Valverde and Cauã Reymond and written by George Moura, Sergio Goldenberg, Flavio Araujo and Teresa Flota. The idea was inspired by the book La Emparedada De La Calle Nueva, written by Carneiro Vilela.

The story tells the life of Leandro, from the “sertão” in Brazil, but raised in São Paulo, who must return to his place of birth as a sommelier and will get involved in relationships with three women: Celeste, Isabel, and Antonia.
