The network also launched an innovative multi-platform campaign in partnership with Facebook offering a first-look preview of the super series available exclusively on {}. Dueños del Paraíso is an original Telemundo Studios co-production with Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN Chile) based on a screenplay by Pablo Illanes (¿Dónde está Elisa? and Alguien te Mira) and directed by Lilo Vilaplana (El Capo) and Nicolás Diblasi (Una Maid en Manhattan). The new super series is currently shooting on location in Miami and Chile and features an ensemble cast of nearly 30 actors. Set in the late 1970s and early 1980s, Dueños del Paraíso tells the story of Anastasia Cardona (Kate del Castillo), a woman without a trace of innocence, whose life has been derailed by violence and poverty. Ambition lures her into the world of drug trafficking, transforming her into one of the most powerful women of her time. The original production features a special appearance by Oscar nominee Adriana Barraza, together with a stellar cast including Jorge Zabaleta, José María Torre, Miguel Varoni, Tony Dalton, Ximena Duque, Alberto Jiménez, María Elena Swett, Tiago Correa, Guillermo Quintanilla, Sofía Lama, Géraldine Bazán, Juan Pablo Llano, Pepe Gámez, Gabriel Valenzuela, Andrea Lopez, Ariel Texidó, Margarita Muñoz, Maria Luisa Flores, Yuly Ferreira, Ana Osorio, Jorge Hernández, Beatriz Monroy, Rachell Vallori, Alberto Mateo, Daniela Wong and Maxi Iglesias, among others. “We are very excited to have Kate back in this major production featuring an excellent script and a spectacular cast of top-notch talent. We are also proud to co-produce a super series for the first time with TVN Chile, a major producer of Spanish-language content,” said Joshua Mintz, executive vice president for Scripted Programming and general manager of Telemundo Studios. Dueños del Paraíso is executive produced by Mintz along with supervising producers David Posada and Gemma Lombardi.
