With more than 20 years in the industry, López-Gallo arrives at Televisa coming from Discovery

Televisa incorporates Gerardo López-Gallo as VP of Programming, Marketing and Research

Televisa informed that Gerardo López-Gallo joins their team as VP of Programming, Marketing and Research  grouping those important duties under one same leadership.

The executive will assume the position on March 15, reporting to Isaac Lee, responsible of Contents for Televisa and Univision (Chief Content Officer).

López-Gallo has a successful career of over 20 years in communication media, with broad experience in television, marketing and advertising. He is widely renown for his strategic leadership and proven capabilities in plannning, development and production of campaigns aimed at audiences in Mexico and the US.

He was recently VP of Content at Discovery Networks Mexico (Discovery Channel, Discovery Home & Health, Discovery Kids, Animal Planet, TLC and Investigation Discovery), portfolio that registered under his conduction the highest audience levels in its history.

Before Discovery, he worked for 12 years at Univision (since 2001), where he was part of the team in charge of developing UniMas' brand identity. At Univision, among other positions, he held the post of Integrations VP, where he was responsible for maximizing Univision's cable network portfolio.

“The incorporation of López-Gallo will allow centralizing, under one same leadership, the work of our programming, marketing, and research teams in order to consolidate a more analytical and comprehensive approach, that will allow us to better understand what audiences want to watch and when they want to watch it," highlighted Isaac Lee.
