The series, that is being shot in English and Spanish -according to the journal Variety- is under the responsibility of José Nacif, Ramiro Ruiz, Francisco González Compeán and Rodrigo Santos.
“We are on the quest for a new series line with a different seal that has a more cinema-like language. The sort that Nacif, González Compeán and the others can bring to the table,” pointed out Eduardo Clemesha, Formats and New Contents VP at Televisa.
Diablo Guardián follows an upper-class teenager in Mexico City that leaves to the US with a great sum of money. There, her life revolves entirely around prostitution, drugs and dangerous men.
The boost that Blim and Netflix have given original content in Latin America has opened the market, mentioned the same portal. “In Mexico there is a surge in production and diversification of projects, that used to be closed,” said González Compeán.
