One of Univision´s first exercises producing during the quarantine was the special for Mother´s Day, Por Ellas, aired on Sunday, May 10 from 8 to 10pm.

Sergio Jablon, Headwriter of the network`s entertainment division, was consulted on the project that marks the return to work in their studios in Miami after several weeks of confinement. He said they had followed strict protocols for the shootings, with fewer people on the set, separate lunch hours for the personnel, use of two cabins instead of one for master control, in order to maintain the distancing and with security personnel supervising that the guidelines have complied within all the areas.

He feels that with this show, they achieved very special benchmarks since the 15 artists that participate share on camera with their mothers and families in a more intimate atmosphere, something different from the previous editions. Additionally, special connections were made from several cities in the US, Mexico, and Spain. And the special went from one to two hours in primetime. “Much more ambitious,” he added.

He commented that due to the pandemic, two Easter specials, the TeletonUSA (possibly for the third quarter), and two new realities were postponed.

Jablon, who for many years was the writer of RCTV´s La Rochela in Venezuela, is thrilled because on Monday, May 11, they launched the special La Radio Cuarentena at 8pm on the comedian Emilio Lovera´s YouTube channel with many of show´s classic actors
