The industry regrets the death of the Mexican producer Santiago Galindo on the morning of Wednesday, July 11 in Mexico City. Social networks were the means to deliver their condolences and highlight his work. He was one of the most prolific producers in international TV.

Twitter was the social network where more comments were posted, including the condolences of Televisa, his home for the last 18 years: “We regret the decease of our partner, producer Santiago Galindo. The Office of the Procurator is investigating his death since it occurred in the public street. We beg for respect for his relatives and friends”.

Emilio Azcárraga, CEO of Televisa shared: “Rest in peace Santiago Galindo, a warm embrace with great affection for his family”.

“All of us at Univision Communications Inc. is saddened by the death of Santiago Galindo, one of the most outstanding producers in Spanish-language TV. He has left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. We extend our most heartfelt condolences to his family and co-workers,” said Univision in a statement.

Other executives, such as Eric Jürguensen and Otto Padrón, were shocked by this event, the latter commented: “This news affects us strongly. Knowing Santi was loving him. Rest in peace, friend”.

Celebrities like Omar Chaparro, with whom he worked in Cantando Por Un Sueño and Hazme Reír mentioned: “I had the opportunity to work with him and his cousin. My deepest sympathy for all his family”.

The writer Aida Guajardo simply expressed, “Thank you, dear Santiago”.
