Actors Eric Dane, Rhona Mitra, Adam Baldwin and producer Jack Bender, from the series The Last Ship, visited Mexico to promote the Latin American premiere set for August 4th at 10pm on TNT. Luis Bolio, general manager of Turner International Mexico, said at the event that his team’s goal was to “generate and acquire quality programming, in addition to producing and co-producing locally in the different markets. At TNT we’re achieving that goal and are turning the channel into one of the most successful in Mexico with over 9 million viewers and in Latin America with 53 million.” For actor Adam Baldwin, the quality of the series and the production budgets for TV are reaching those of film, “because we have outstanding directors and actors that go from film to TV, added to the fact that people now have access to other technologies that allows them to watch series with TV quality.” Finally, producer and actors confirmed the series would have a second season. The Last Ship shows an apocalyptic scenario where humanity is dying from a virus. On board the USS Nathan James, Captain Chandler and his crew will have the key to saving the world.
