Generating original stories continues the premise of Joshua Mintz, deputy to the Chairman and Fiction director at TV Azteca. Proof of this is the production of Las Malcriadas (90x60’), a story already being offered in international markets and that will go on screen in Mexico in upcoming months, in the schedule of Nada Personal.

“It took us a year to write this story. It is an original script by Ximena Escalante, that has been given continuity with a group of writers, resulting in a solid story. This is our bet on original content. 90 episodes is a good number to make an important launch” commented Mintz.

The executive added that as well as generating their own contents, since co-productions are the future of the industry, they will continue open to the creation of projects together with other companies, to obtain results like Rosario Tijeras with Sony/Teleset, who recently launched with them.

For the producer Mónica Skorlich, the 90-episode format is ideal to tell a story with diverse topics, being the main one, that of women who have to support a family and are involved in different situations to do this.
