“Ultra Cine is known for the quality of its films; I’m certain that these films are going to be a big success among our audience,” commented Jesús Piñango, director of TV Content Strategy at Olympusat. “Our goal is to support Spanish-language cinema and to introduce our audience to new talents from all over Spain and Latin America.”
The first movie follows the events occurred in 1976 after the armed forces seized power from the Argentine constitutional government. The film depicts the valor and determination of a group of citizens who fought for their ideals, justice and democracy, including Estela de Carlotto, an activist who suffered terrible losses during the military dictatorship.
The film is directed by Nicolás Gil Lavedra and produced by Alephmedia.
El Frasco tells the story of Romina, a schoolteacher who asked a very peculiar favor from the local bus driver; to deliver her urine sample to Buenos Aires for analysis. However, the jar with the urine sample breaks, unleashing a very comical chain of events. Directed by Alberto Lecchi, and produced by Zarlek Producciones.
