Alejandro Uribe, former Televisa and who, together with Isaac Lee (former Univision), created a year ago the Hispanic studio Exile Content that operates in Latin America, the US, and Spain, explained that they are producing both scripted and unscripted projects: high-quality drama series, premium documentaries, and podcasts.
One of the projects includes the documentary Un Sueño Real, about a women's soccer team in Spain. "This project is a perfect sample of the type of content in Exile,” added Uribe, who was interviewed by Chiqui Cartagena, CMO of The Conference Board during the 18th Annual Hispanic Television Summit.
Uribe said there was a huge void in stories of women's soccer. "Women's sports have much more drama than men´s," he detailed.
The story revolves around El Tacón, a community women's soccer team that was bought by Real Madrid. The documentary tells the story of these players in their first season with Real Madrid. He furthered that the shootings have been a huge challenge due to the pandemic and that they expect the program will go out into the air at the end of this year.
