Univision Deportes brought soccer fans a faceoff between MLS All-Stars and Real Madrid on Wednesday, August 2, which out-delivered ESPN’S broadcast of El Clásico among Total Viewers 2+ (77%) and Adults 18-49 (55%); on ESPN2 among Total Viewers 2+ (649%) and Adults 18-49 (530%); and ESPN Deportes among Total Viewers 2+ (148%) and Adults 18-49 (119%), according to Nielsen.
Juan Carlos Rodriguez, president, Univision Deportes, commented that Univision Deportes continuously proves that they are the place where soccer lives and where fans go to watch the top teams and best players in the world.

The telecast on the Univision Network at 9pm with simulcast on UDN delivered 1.5 million Total Viewers 2+ and 718,000 Adults 18-49, making it the most-watched MLS All Star Game in the event’s 21-year history and marked, for the second time ever, that an MLS All-Star Game broadcast in Spanish-language outperforms the English-language broadcast.
