Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) announced the promotion of Jorge Domínguez to SVP of Art and Design. Domínguez will remain based in Miami and continue to report to Jessica Rodríguez, EVP and Chief Marketing Officer of UCI. “With talent that goes beyond the television screen, Jorge has been essential in the transformation of our sets and evolution of graphic design for major UCI properties and initiatives. His leadership style is unparalleled as is his artistic contribution and strategic application of his ideas. We look forward to seeing his original and awe-inspiring efforts further elevate the Univision Brand,” said Rodriguez. Dominguez has been part of UCI for nearly 30 years. He most recently served as vice president of Art Design and before that as creative director of On-Air. In 1990, he was involved in the creation of Univision’s original logo and became an important asset in the conception and rollout of the logo’s 2013 redesign. Leading a team of more than 50 designers, Domínguez has been vital to the development and execution of Univision Deportes Network and UniMás Network, in addition to being at the forefront of set, graphic design and art direction for each Upfront presentation the Company has hosted. With his team, Dominguez has also been central to the brand creation of digital products, Univision Novelas App and Univision Conecta.
