Vast career executive Fred Medina died in Miami

Fred Medina

Fred Medina, an experienced media executive, died in Miami this Wednesday the 17th in an accident. He held senior positions such as CEO of Business at BBC Worldwide and Executive VP of Corporate Business Development at Ole Communications.

He was also acting CEO of the Latin American Multichannel Advertising Council (Lamac) and Director of Operations of Pinewood Studios / Lantica Media in the Dominican Republic, an innovative media company that invests in various segments of the entertainment industry.

Early in his career, Medina worked as a marketer for The Coca-Cola Company where he applied his extensive business experience in media and technology since the early 1990s. He also held management positions at the Univision Television Partnership Group in New York and MTV Latin America and in a variety of senior marketing positions in Ericsson Telecommunications Consumer Products Division.

In 2001 he was appointed VP of Business Development at HBO Latin America Group, and later on, became EVP and general manager of A&E Ole Networks and E! Entertainment Television Latin America.

Since 2019 he owned and managed the consulting firm Redline Advisors.

Medina was 58 years old and the father of two children.
