For the first time, WAWA had included 17 international companies in a pavilion on the market floor -stand 201- during the now canceled NATPE Miami 2022. The companies confirmed were: 11Loops, Corus Studios, Ecuavisa Studios, DW, KM Distribution, Mondo TV Studios, Nelvana, Springmedia, Universal Cinergía, VIP 2000 TV, 7 AMedia, CNN en Español, Egeda, FL International, StarContent, Tondero and Tsunum.

Roxana Rotundo, head of VIP 2000 TV and Chairwoman of WAWA, highlighted that it is a great achievement bringing together all of these companies under a single pavilion. “For some time I have been trying to promote that together we are stronger in events and for me, as Chair of the WAWA board, teaming up with 17 companies has been a great achievement.”

Faced with the wave of COVID infections in Miami, Rotundo, personally, considered it important to find a formula for doing business in the safest way possible. “This is a business event. Let’s save NATPE. Let’s find the formula.”

At the moment of the publication of this article, due to the increase in positive cases of COVID-19, WAWA decided to postpone their long-awaited WAWA Woman of the Year party, scheduled for January 17. “We understand that in this context we must make decisions to contribute to the collective health and the smooth running of the business meetings that await us at NATPE 2022,” said WAWA in a statement.

On Saturday, NATPE Miami organizers decided to cancel the event altogether due to the high rate of COVID cases in Florida.
