In a historic first-of-its-kind collaboration, two media giants, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEE) from India & TelevisaUnivision from Mexico have come together, combining their extensive expertise, to co-produce an exciting new international travelogue.

The Spice Trails: Latin America is an ambitious series, which takes the viewer on a discovery of spices across verdant lands, understanding the influence of spices on the local culture, economy, cuisine & traditions. The way spices add flavor and taste to our food, this journey will similarly unravel the origin of these spices and lend a unique understanding of the land & its people.

The Spice Trails: Latin America is a 12-part series, featuring 30 minutes per episode, produced in 4K, traveling through Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile & Argentina.

“We are delighted to be partnering with TelevisaUnivision to develop this series that is creatively exciting. I am confident that the series will capture the imagination of audiences around the world, allowing them to vicariously travel and experience these exotic lands. Our mission at Zee is to produce quality shows like this which have a universal appeal and serve the ever-growing market demand for exciting and engaging content,” said Sunita Uchil, EVP, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd.

“We are very excited to team up with Zee Entertainment to create a series like this, and we´re confident it will be delivered to its audience worldwide with the utmost quality and live up to the expectations we all have on the series as a production team,” added Eduardo Murguia, executive producer, TelevisaUnivision.

“Even though we have produced many series before, Eduardo and I are particularly excited with this series. Spice Trails Latin America really captures the essence of Latin America from another very different angle: spices and its relevance in food, culture and so much more,” stated Carlos Murguia, executive producer, TelevisaUnivision stated.
