T-Mobile will offer the market a proposal for the enjoyment of contents in video. Jeff Binder, EVP for Home and Entertainment in the telecommunications company, said —in the context of Pay TV Show—, that they are preparing a disruptive offer.
“We are seeking to break some of the old constructs on how cable companies do business with clients. TV at home is a device focused on a single use. Television must reflect more who we are as consumers,” he said.
“Disruptive means to listen to clients. It doesn’t necessarily mean making things explode,” commented the executive during a talk titled How to Give Clients What They Really Want, T-Mobile’s disruptive video strategy.
Binder didn’t specify if the new platform will be native mobile, nor gave any features or details of it, he just announced it will be launched “sooner than later”, and as a subtle comment, he dropped that 5G is the perfect delivery for video.
The executive insisted that T-Mobile’s new TV service will bring new technology, ideas, and a better integration of TV and smartphones.
