Mega Global Entertainment: The way we rotate contents on each platform determines monetization

Esperanza Garay, founder, and CEO of Mega Global Entertainment was present in Ventana Sur, where she gave a conference explaining the new content distribution mechanisms, with the arrival of the different platforms the market now offers.

“In the new distribution landscape, we have content for multiple platforms. We have to know how to manage these platforms´ windows because how we rotate contents on the different platforms is what determines monetization,” assured Garay.

The executive also mentioned that the price of contents can vary depending on how much intellectual property and copyright is being granted. It is directly proportional, the higher the rights or exclusiveness, the higher the price of the product.

Garay commented on a phenomenon that greatly draws people´s attention, that is the arrival of video games to new audiences. The finals of the League of Legends that were aired on a platform, achieved a total of 103 million viewers, almost the same as the figures of a Super Bowl. “When you realize these opportunities, new distribution platforms open up, and that same game, for example, has already been aired on pay TV, and will surely be seen on open television”.
