Élite dethroned La Casa de Papel for the first time in months as the most demanded digital series in Spanish in the US in the period between June 14 and 20, according to the ranking published by Parrot Analytics, the data science company that researches the global demand for content.

Élite, a Netflix production, leads the weekly ranking with 13.77 times more demand, (difference with the market average); followed by the Spanish’s series La Casa de Papel, with 11.91 times more demand. The third place is for ¿Quién mató a Sara?, the Mexican series produced by Blue Dog for Netflix, which got 3.19 times more demand; followed by El Cid, from Amazon Prime Video, with 1.42 more demand, and in fifth place, with 0.91 times more demand, Netflix’s Las Chicas del Cable.

The demand expression is the global metric created by Parrot Analytics to represent the total demand expressed by the audience of a series within a market. The demand reflects how the audience wants, follows, and interacts, adjusting each action according to its importance, in such a way that downloads or streaming have a higher value than comments or likes on social networks.
