Alazraki Entertainment: We started operations with specific projects and a 10-year production plan

After the box office success of the Mexican film Nosotros Los Nobles, producer and director Gary Alazraki and actor and producer Leo Zimbrón decided to join forces and created Alazraki Entertainment, with offices in Mexico City and Los Angeles.This new production house offers services through five business units: Film, TV, Theater, Online, and Advertising, with business plans set to two, five and ten years. One of its first projects is the partnership with Netflix to produce an original series in 2015.“We began formal operations, not from scratch, but rather reaping much of what was sown earlier. We have specific projects for this year as well as a longer-term plan, with two-, five-, and 10-year horizons. We also opened offices in the U.S. led by Gary, and I will be based out of Mexico,” said Zimbrón.He added the business units they’re focused on are Film, to continue the development of movies both in English and Spanish, and later in other languages; TV, where they look to develop series for multiple platforms; Theater, where they want to produce live events in Mexico. “We believe the Online area will soon be profitable and we plan to develop new concepts; and finally, Advertising for the creation of spots,” he added.
