The production of the third season of Masterchef República Dominicana launched two weeks ago on Telesistemas canal 11, is carried out under strict safety protocols to minimize COVID-19 infections. The production companies Alton River, Fly Content, and 911 Media Group have received the advice and close collaboration of Endemol Shine International.

“I want to highlight that the help given by Endemol to franchisees is exemplary. We are encouraged to do the third season thanks to the collaboration with Michelle Wasserman, for the huge support they gave us considering it is a small market,” commented Carlos Cerutti, General Director of Alton River.

Cerutti mentioned that, advised by Endemol, they applied a protocol for covid: virtual casting, less shooting hours, weekly screening tests for staff, the technical team does not share the same space with talents or participants and contestants have tests run twice a week because they are not confined.

He mentioned that, with the new protocols, their production budget has increased by 30%, production time has been extended one month and we have 20% fewer staff. “In key technical points, we have a stand by the team, suggested by Endemol. All of this with a 40% hiring of the advertising market,” he mentioned.

Despite this, Cerutti commented that they are following through with their commitments: they will soon shoot Masterchef Junior, then Masterchef la Revancha with the finalists of the first three seasons, and on November 12 they will start shooting La Guerra de Los Sexos that will be aired on November 21.
