Canal 22 Internacional celebrates 10 years in the U.S.

To mark its 10th anniversary of presenting the best in Mexican and Latin American culture, arts, music, literature, dance and history in the United States, Canal 22 Internacional will present an array of special programming during the month of May to celebrate with its viewers this special milestone. Under the banner of A Reflection of our Traditions, the programming highlights will kick off on May 5 and include a special presentation of the Mexican singer Eugenia León, considered one of the best female singers in Latin America and called by critics as the Voice of Mexico. In Experiencia Acústica: Eugenia León, León will perform in concert with Brazilian composer Ivan Lins at the Metropolitan Theater in Mexico City and will air on Canal 22 on May 5 at 1pm PT/4pm ET. The Canal 22 anniversary celebration will kick off with Guelaguetza 2013 on Monday, May 5 at 7am PT/10am ET as viewers will share in cultural patrimony of the 8 regions in the state of Oaxaca. Cinema 22 (double feature) will present Nosotros Los Rateros on Monday, May 5th 10am and El Indiano (premiere) at 8pm PT/11pm ET).Canal 22 will also launch a special programming dedicated to travel. These programs include Pueblos Mágicos (Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30pm PT/7:30pm ET), Poblanísimo (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 4:30pm PT/7:30pm ET), Tierra de Magia (Monday through Friday 10pm PT/1am ET), and Tesoros de Veracruz (Monday through Thursday 10:30pm PT/ 1:30am ET).
