New seasons of the First Division Apertura Tournaments for Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Honduras can currently be seen on CentroAméricaTV, the leading network for the six million Central Americans living in the United States and the exclusive U.S. television home of the national soccer leagues from those countries.

Soccer fans will have access to the most important First Division weekly games for each league throughout the tournament season, which runs through December of this year.

In the 113th edition of Costa Rica’s First Division Apertura tournament, viewers can follow the fierce rivalry between Costa Rica’s 12 professional male soccer teams as they face off once again in search of their shot at success and glory.

As in previous seasons, the El Salvador First Division league will also consist of the country’s top 12 teams. This year, the 12 spots will include newcomers El Vencedor, who will be playing in the country’s top division for the first time in the club’s history.

In Honduras, where 10 teams will be competing throughout the season, the tournament will follow a new format which harkens back to the First Division tournaments from the 1990s. In this configuration, each club plays the others twice for a total of 18 games. The semifinals and finals will consist of 2 games each, one at home and one away.

“Soccer is a huge part of the Central American cultural heritage, and we’re proud to be the official home of the First Division soccer leagues of El Salvador, Honduras, and Costa Rica,” said Francisco Gimenez, SVP and general manager of Cable Channels for Hemisphere Media Group, Inc., the network’s parent company.
