César Millán: Very happy to be producing a new series and other shows

César Millán, who found fame with the successful program The Dog Whisperer on Animal Planet, has premiered El Líder de la Manada, produced solely in Spanish for Nat Geo. For this new venture, the renowned Mexican entertainer goes deep within the realm of the adoption of dogs, which lines up with his life mission: bettering the relation between man and dog. Filmed entirely in Spain, the show can be seen every Tuesday at 9pm. “I want the public to become accustomed to seeing a dog that doesn’t have a race. This is a show for the dog who has a home, and the one who doesn’t” Millán told PRODU during the show’s debut week in Miami Tuesday Oct. 16. As far as his experience within the general market, he commented, “The opportunity emerged first in the North American market, and it ended up catapulting the series to more than 100 countries”.Millán also takes on the position of executive producer for the first time, and he assured that he’s working on a new reality, and a new show for kids with his son, both for other networks. “We already have assured a second season although we don’t know yet where it will be filmed. Working with César Millán has been a great experience. He’s a great professional and the success he’s already acquired guarantees that this series will be just as successful” said Rafael Salinas Farfan, brand director for National Geographic Channel LatAm.
