Cholawood Productions and Endemol Shine produce Tequileando

In September 2019, through her production company Cholawood Productions, Kate del Castillo signed with Endemol Shine Boomdog a first-look agreement for the development of fiction and non-fiction projects, both in English and in Spanish.

During the first day of Conecta Fiction Reboot, the actress and producer commented on the progress of those plans, such as the reality Tequileando Con Kate. They are going to be seven nights in which she will take celebrities from the US: artists, athletes, scientists, to Guadalajara and Jalisco, where tequila is made.

“Everything I am producing, they see beforehand. If they like it, we start to create it, to package it, we look for a showrunner, a director, a team of scriptwriters, the cast. It is a long process, but well worth it,” detailed Del Castillo.

Along with shooting Armas de Mujer for Peacock, the actress is working on the adaptation of two books by Lydia Cacho: Doctor Shock, in which she will be the star, and Slavery Inc. “We are working on finding the right house for each one and the writer’s team”.
