Cinelatino has announced a selection of box office hits and exclusive U.S. television premieres beginning on Sunday, November 1 with Qué León at 9pm ET/6pm PT.

One of 2018’s most important Latin American movies, Qué León was a resounding commercial and box office sensation, becoming the highest-grossing local film within the Dominican Republic in recent years and holding the title as the film with the highest international distribution in the history of the Caribbean country’s cinema. The romantic comedy features a stellar cast including renowned reggaeton artist Ozuna, Clarissa Molina, Christine Marzano, Celinés Toribio, Anyelina Sánchez, and Stephany Liriano, as well as beloved Dominican comedy duo Raymond Pozo and Miguel Céspedes.

Throughout the rest of November, Cinelatino will feature more critically acclaimed box office successes during its weekly hit movie destination block, Domingo Estelar, including major titles such as La Peor de Mis Bodas 2, El Inca and Así del Precipicio. On Thursday, November 26 at 9pm ET /6pm PT, the channel will air the exclusive television premiere of record-holding Mexican rom-com Ya Veremos. The second-highest-grossing film in the country’s cinematic history, it features a bevy of stars including Mauricio Ochmann, Fernanda Castillo, Emiliano Aramayo, Erik Hayser, Ariel Levy, and Marianna Burelli.

Love, family, and relationships continue to take center stage as part of Cinelatino’s Thanksgiving holiday weekend movie extravaganza featuring titles such as La Boda de Valentina, Un Gallo Con Muchos Huevos, Mi Pequeño Gran Hombre, and No Manches Frida, among others.

“With this year’s holiday celebrations looking very different from the norm, we have packed our programming with top films that offer multi-generational appeal,” said James M. McNamara, vice chairman of Hemisphere Media Group. “Many of our viewers live in households where multiple generations—grandparents, parents, and children—are all under the same roof. More than ever before, and particularly around the holidays, they are looking for high-quality entertainment options they can all enjoy from the safety and comfort of their living rooms. Movies and laughter are great unifiers, and we hope to help bring families together and spread some cheer at a time when everyone needs it most.”
