(Maribel Ramos-Weiner) No Le Digan a Mi Madre, directed by French foreign war correspondent Diego Buñuel, who is also the grandson of the Spanish director Luis Buñuel, will air its fourth season in the Hispanic market of the US on Nat Geo Mundo. In an interview with PRODU, Buñuel spoke about his beginnings in media and about the program, which is a co-production by National Geographic and Canal + in France, which he also works for. No Le Digan a Mi Madre is currently distributed in 160 countries and in 28 languages, and has begun filming for its fifth season.“No Le Digan a Mi Madre is a unique program because we show short stories that tell a great history of the countries that are currently in war, in transition or in crises. We give a very different vision of these countries” Buñuel explained. Buñuel also referenced the importance of Nat Geo Mundo’s position in the Hispanic market of the US. “I think that it’s a fundamental market and it will develop more in the coming years. Because of that, I’m working more for this population. Nat Geo Mundo is a new channel and its intention is to construct a new identity for a population that is also being built” he added. No Le Digan a Mi Madre debuts Thursday March 15 at 8pm on Nat Geo Mundo.
