After two years, Andina Link is the first conference in Latin America in which Euronews is present. “We hope to meet with as many partners as possible to have the opportunity to introduce all our new content and commercial possibilities” said Maxime Carboni, director of International Distribution at Euronews.

Carboni said that the signal has drastically evolved in recent years, but always keeping the quality and independence of its own content and focusing on the local audiences of the region.

“To better address the platforms in Latin America, we also decided to put Euronews Spanish back on satellite and in HD. Eventually, Euronews will also strengthen its availability including advertising, OTT and streaming in the region in Spanish and Portuguese”, says Carboni.

He emphasized that Colombia and the Andean region are key markets for Euronews. “This region is a natural market for our outlet and content proposal. That is why we want to expand the distribution of Euronews in Spanish to those countries through pay TV operators, collaboration with local TV and online media.”

He highlighted that Euronews offers its partners daily news bulletins, premium programs or evergreen content to enrich its channel lineup, website or platform. “We offer a mixture of international, regional and local news designed by and for Spanish speakers,” he said.

Carboni explained that two years ago –at the appropriate time-, Euronews focused on distribution on ad-supported OTT platforms and connected TV. “We are now one of the recognized global news leaders in these fields with more than 25 partnerships globally and 2.5 million hours streamed per month on average. Euronews in Spanish was one of the first media outlets to join Samsung TV+ in Mexico, TikiLive, Pluto TV in Spanish and Tubi. Portuguese Euronews experienced the same success in Brazil with Samsung TV+, with a constant increase in audience and advertisers on our live broadcasts.”

To conclude, he announced that in their crusade against piracy, Euronews is aiming for an encrypted satellite distribution soon, as well as reinforcing their watermark of its content.
