Imagina US hosts a celebration in Miami for the new president of La Liga Javier Tebas

Imagina US and Mediapro hosted a cocktail party to honor the recently proclaimed president of La Liga de Fútbol Profesional (LFP), Javier Tebas, at the studios in Medley, Miami, where some of the sports channel beIN SPORT shows are recorded. During the event, Roger Huguet, Imagina US’s CEO, presented a video produced by beIN SPORT in which the international relevance of La Liga was highlighted. Along with top executives from Imagina US, several representatives of Mediapro from Spain also attended the party, including its President, Jaume Roures.Tebas noted the dramatic growth that Spanish soccer has experienced during the past 10 years thanks to broadcasting rights. “This impressive growth of broadcasting rights would not be possible without the support of Mediapro. For Spanish soccer, Mediapro has meant proficiency within broadcasting rights, professionalism in the exploiting of these rights, and the international expansion of professional Spanish soccer and La Liga as a brand. For us, Mediapro in Spain is more than a client to who we sale these rights—it is a business associate. And as partners we will continue to work with them to promote even further La Liga as a brand,” the executive said. Tebas stated that the plan is to have a wider presence abroad, including the United States. He also highlighted the presence of the advertiser BBVA (financial entity,) title sponsor of La Liga for the last five seasons.
