Leonardo Zimbrón named head of Scripted Programming at Endemol Shine Boomdog

Endemol Shine Boomdog has named television and film producer Leonardo Zimbrón as its new head of scripted programming, it was announced by Endemol Shine Boomdog CEO Alejandro Rincón. 

Zimbrón has extensive film and TV production credits, having produced some of the top performing films in Mexico’s history, as well as numerous hit television series including Netflix’s first original production in Mexico, Club de Cuervos, which was recently renewed for a fourth season.

Endemol Shine Boomdog was formed last year when Endemol Shine North America merged its Spanish language division Endemol Shine Latino with Mexico City-based production company Boomdog. The newly combined studio, which has offices and production facilities in Mexico City and Miami, is focused on developing and producing scripted and unscripted content for the U.S. Hispanic and Mexican TV markets.

Endemol Shine Boomdog now produces many of the top series in the region, including MasterChef México (TV Azteca), Mira Quién Baila (Univision), Chumel con Chumel Torres (HBO), Se Busca Comediante (Comedy Central), as well as, MasterChef Latino (Telemundo) and the highly anticipated drama series Nicky Jam: El Ganador (Telemundo/Netflix).

Endemol Shine Boomdog also recently produced scripted hit El Vato for both Netflix and Universo and is developing dramas To Selena with Love, El Clan and Súbete a Mi Moto—The History of Menudo.
