Doctor Vet: Miami is Nat Geo Mundo’s first original Spanish-language commission

This season, Nat Geo Mundo gives viewers an inside-look at the daily life of the Latino veterinarians caring for exotic and household pets in three new series, including Nat Geo Mundo’s first original production Doctor Vet Miami that premieres Sunday June 24 at 8pm.The other two shows are Rescate Veterinario that premieres Tuesday, July 10 at 9pm and Doctor Vet: Latin America, that debuts Sunday, August 19 at 8pm.Doctor Vet: Miami is Nat Geo Mundo’s first original Spanish-language commission, and features four episodes documenting the efforts of three accomplished veterinarians and their staffs. The Miami-based series explores the doctors’ unique relationships with the pets themselves as well as their owners offering a behind-the-scenes look at the dramatic practice of veterinary medicine…including the wide range of medical conditions affecting different species, both exotic and domesticated. Rescate Veterinario documents the most complex cases in the hopes of discovering not only relief, but also a cure for each condition. Despite the risks involved, these dedicated doctors devote themselves to performing precarious surgeries and procedures in order to achieve a positive outcome for not only the animal, but for the pet’s owners as well.Doctor Vet: Latin America closely follows the exciting work of Dr. Sebastián Jimenez, a Chilean veterinarian specializing in the treatment of exotic and domesticated pet species, tackling the most complex of cases.
