NBCUniversal announced that they will have a one-hour presentation on video streaming for advertisers and publicists, with the purpose of discussing the current situation of the advertising market, reported Variety. This is the first media company in the US that commits to having a formal conversation with the industry during the growth of the pandemic. The meeting will be held on May 11 from 11am to 12pm EST.

The company sent a message to agencies and clients telling them that they plan to have a conversation on the state of the market, centered on their efforts to manage television and digital video inventory as part of the same process.

Executives do not see the meeting as part of the upfronts that are traditionally held in May, but more as an encounter to talk about the situation. Along with the news they will deliver in this session, they will detail how they intend to face the upfronts market, where television companies will try to sell plenty of their advertising spaces in advance. Many of these efforts have been canceled due to the quarantine, others postponed for September. The company added that in this encounter in May executives would answer questions. The session is supposed to be public and the guests will include marketing specialists, advertising agencies, technology providers, and media sales organizations.
