Pantaya and Pantelion have signed significant multi-year direct-to-platform deals with prominent production companies El Estudio, The Lift, and Traziende Films.

Under the terms of the deal, each company will produce direct-to-platform Spanish-language films to stream in the US exclusively on Pantaya. Pantelion will serve as the studio on the projects, leveraging its long-standing feature film relationships with the top producers in Mexico.

“In the 10+ year history of Pantelion we have had the pleasure work multiple times with Diego Suárez, Pablo Cruz and their team at El Estudio (César Chávez), Avelino Rodríguez and his team at The Lift (Y Como Es El, Cuando Sea Joven) and the folks at Traziende Films (Pulling Strings, Las Pildoras de Mi Novio). They are all some of the best in the business and we are delighted to officially partner with them to bring even compelling projects to Pantaya. These companies are leaders and innovators in the world of Spanish-language content, and I look forward to sharing all of the exciting films that are to come with Pantaya’s loyal subscribers,” stated Paul Presburger, CEO of Pantaya and Pantelion.

El Estudio is a Trans-Atlantic production powerhouse, custom-built to create premium programming across multiple platforms, targeting Spanish-speaking media consumers around the world, specifically in Mexico, Spain, Latin America, and the U.S. Between Pablo Cruz (Luis Miguel) and Enrique López Lavigne (The Impossible) as well as Fox Television Studios alumni Diego Suárez Chialvo (Queen of the South), they have produced a total of 45 films and ten TV series in the last ten years, amassing more than US$620 million at the worldwide box office. With offices in México, Los Angeles, Madrid, and Buenos Aires, El Estudio has more than a hundred projects in development and/or in production and had developed strategic alliances with Pantaya, Sony Pictures, Netflix, Amazon, HBO, Paramount+, HBO Max, Starz, Viacom International Studios, Warner, TVE, and A3 media.

In 2019, The Lift expanded its offer by opening its business units, including the entertainment division developing and producing long format content for Pantelion Films, 3Pas Studios, Amazon Prime, Televisa Networks, Anonymous content, Hulu, Viacom and has worked with renowned figures in the entertainment industry such as Gabriel Ripstein Jr, Carlos Cuarón, Patrick Daughters, Sebastián Silva, Matt Walden, Sebastián Krys, and Paul Presburger.
