Pasiones premieres three blockbuster novelas in August on its Latin American network

In August, viewers in Latin America can enjoy the premiere of three highly-successful novelas on Pasiones. Brazilian telenovela Gabriela debuted on August 11, sexy Mexican drama Sortilegio (Love Spell) premiered on August 18, and musical novela Niche, lo que Diga el Corazón (Beats of Love, Niche), will debut on August 31. Times vary by country. Gabriela, from TV Globo International, is a remake of the 1970’s Brazilian hit that takes place in the 1920s in northeastern Brazil. The new version features Brazilian actress Juliana Paes, as Gabriela, a spontaneous brunette who exudes sensuality and is oblivious to the customs of the time. Completely shot in HD, the telenovela has been extremely successful worldwide, achieving a 52% audience share during its run in Brazil. In Portugal, it was one of the most watched programs in the country, drawing in over two million viewers for the finale. From renowned telenovela producer Carla Estrada for Televisa, Sortilegio tells a story of intrigue, love, sibling rivalry, and corporate espionage. This hit Mexican telenovela drew 6.6 million total viewers during its finale on U.S. broadcast network Univision.Niche, lo que Diga el Corazón, is a hit telenovela inspired the formation of Grupo Niche, one the biggest Colombian salsa bands of all time. Produced by Caracol Television, the novela tells the story of Iván Cuero, an energetic and passionate man who did everything in his power to overcome adversities and become one of the best salsa singers in the world.
