Pescaíto: The series that brings Carlos Vives to the Caracol Television screen

Caracol Televisión announces the return of Carlos Vives to the screen, in the new superseries Pescaíto. Vives, who has arrived with his music to all the corners of the world, retunrs to his origins to embody one of soccers greatest players who returns to his land to become the mentor of a local team that dreams with reaching the first league.

Regarding this project, Carlos Vives stated: “I wanted to depict the story of a neighborhood and a very special man from the city I am frm, Santa Marta, in the Colbmbian Caribbean coast. We are currently finishing the scripts, defining the most important things to begin with this production as soon as possible. For me it is a dream come true which I hope to be able to share very soon.”

Pescaíto is a well-known neighborhood in Santa Marta, in the Colombian Caribbean, where Vives was born, who became renowned in the world of television since a very young age. Now he is back to bring to life a character the audience will love, in a story that recreates impossible loves and survival tales, marked in the magic realism that is characteristic of Vives’ musical work.
