Raymond R. Gutiérrez to chair NAMIC Board of Directors

Raymond R. Gutiérrez, Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Administration at CBS Television Networks has been elected to chair the Board of Directors of the National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC). Gutiérrez will succeed outgoing Board Chair, Mark Garner, Vice President of Distribution & Business Development of A&E Television Networks. Garner is concluding a two-year term and will continue his board affiliation as Immediate Past Chair. Gutiérrez, newly elected and re-elected officers and directors begin serving terms as of November 1st, 2010.Communications industry executives elected to serve with Gutiérrez and Kathy Johnson, President; as part of the board’s Executive Committee include: Lucinda Martinez-Desir, Vice Chair of NAMIC and Vice President of Acquisitions and Multi-cultural Marketing at Home Box Office; Marsha Conaway, Secretary of NAMIC and Regional Vice President of Human Resources, Midwest Region, for Time Warner Cable; and Danielle Wade, Treasurer of NAMIC and Vice President of Customer Service & Marketing for Bright House Networks.”The commitment and insight of this distinguished group of business leaders will be invaluable as we further advance NAMIC’s mission of educating and advocating for diversity and inclusion within the communications industry,” said Johnson.
