(Maribel Ramos-Weiner, Los Angeles). Despite being a small cable operator, RCN is implementing an aggressive strategy of incorporating Spanish-language channels to its services platform oriented towards the US Hispanic community.Richard Ramlall, Senior VP of Strategic External Affairs & Programming at RCN, explained to PRODU this was possible due to two basic facts: firstly, many of the exclusivity agreements held by these Hispanic channels are expiring; and secondly, RCN has a 100% digital network with greater bandwidth which allows them to add more channels.Some of the channels added by RCN recently are Semillitas, Pasiones, Centroamérica TV and Televisión Dominicana.{Read more special coverage about The Cable Show 2010;http://www.produ.com/english/hispanictv/especiales/especial.html?Noti=&IDEsp=54}
