Telemundo 52 LA sees gains in ratings during November sweeps

Aurora finished as the second most watched TV show among Hispanic stations

Telemundo 52- KVEA, Telemundo’s flagship station in Los Angeles has achieved remarkable results in the recent sweeps period that took place during November.Overall, the station saw an exceptional growth in the early fringe, news and prime time periods for its shows Caso cerrado, Al rojo vivo, Noticiero 52, En contexto and Aurora, based on the data from Nielsen (NSI Live+SD Nov 10 & Live Nov 09 sweep).During the M-F 4-6pm early fringe time period, Caso cerrado and Al rojo vivo finished second among Persons 18-49, Persons 25-54, and Women 25-54. When compared to November 2009, the station saw a sustained growth of 25 percent among Persons 18-49, 56 percent among Persons 25-54, 125 percent among Women 18-49, and 100 percent among Women 25-54.Noticiero 52 (M-F 6pm) and En contexto (M-F 11pm) also saw double-digit and triple-digit ratings increase in their respective time slots. The newscast accounted for an increase of 25 percent among Persons 18-49, 56 percent up among Persons 25-54, 50 percent among Women 18-49 and 100 percent among Women 25-54, compared to November 2009.Telemundo’s newest original primetime novela, Aurora, (M-F 8pm) finished as the second most watched TV show among Hispanic stations in its time slot among all main demographics. The novela averaged a Hispanic share of 18 to 19 percent among Persons 18-49, Persons 25-54, Women 18-49, and Women 25-54.
