In response to the global Covid-19 pandemic, Telemundo is expanding its daytime programming to provide viewers with at least 12 hours of live news coverage and entertainment news, Monday to Friday, starting Monday, April 13.

Telemundo owned stations in top Hispanic markets including Los Angeles, New York and Miami already deliver live, early morning newscasts starting at 5am ET/PT, while the Telemundo owned station in Philadelphia delivers morning news at 6am ET.

As part of this initiative, Telemundo’s Un Nuevo Día extends its weekday live broadcast for an additional half-hour beginning this Monday, April 13, to offer viewers four-and-half hours of the latest information and updates from 7am to 11:30am (6am to 10:30am CT), hosted by Rashel Díaz, Adamari López, Héctor Sandarti and Stephanie Himonidis.

“We are living through an unprecedented moment in our lives, and we want our audience to know we remain committed to providing them, throughout the entire day, the information they need to navigate these difficult times. Now, more than ever, we are proud to offer Latinos and their families trustworthy and factual news and information, as well as uplifting entertainment, they can count on,” said Ronald Day, EVP of Entertainment for Telemundo.
