Telemundo Station Group names Cristina Schwarz president and GM of Telemundo 47/WNJU

The Telemundo Station Group named Cristina Schwarz as president and general manager of Telemundo 47 / WNJU, the NBCUniversal-owned television station serving the Hispanic community in the New York Tri-State area. Additionally, Liliana Aristizábal was promoted to vice president of Sales for the station. “Cristina and Liliana are both experienced leaders and top-notch executives, who will help launch Telemundo 47 to the next level. With our full management team now in place, I am confident the station will do an even better job of delivering Tri-State viewers with the most relevant local news and information,” said Manuel Martínez, president, Telemundo Station Group. A seasoned media veteran with more than three decades of local, national and international experience, Schwarz was most recently vice president of Univision Cable Networks, where she oversaw the company’s portfolio of cable networks, including De Película, De Película Clásico, Telehit, Ritmoson Latino, FOROtv, Univision tlnovelas and Bandamax.
