Telemundo Studios: We face the upfront with six solid projects and the exponential growth of products

June 7, 2012

Joshua Mintz, senior VP of Scripted Programming and general manager of Telemundo Studios, said at the upfront in New York, that year after year the premise is to innovate and deliver high-quality products, like the six presented projects. He emphasized the original program El señor de los cielos, a fiction based on drug trafficking in Mexico during the 90s. He also mentioned the expansion process in the Telemundo studios in Miami, now that the company will be producing one more program per year, making it three productions. Also, they’ll continue to produce in Mexico and Colombia. In Colombia, filming for the new version of Pasion de gavilanes will begin in approximately three months. Mintz finalized his conversation with PRODU saying how happy he is to be working alongside Emilio Romano, president of Telemundo Media, who he says is a man with a clear vision of where the company is headed and of its potential.
