Univision Communications announces two new appointments to Univision Deportes

Univision Communications Inc. announced the appointment of two new executives Victoria Vitarelli as VP of Marketing, Univision Deportes, and Sharon van Zwieten as senior executive producer of News, Univision Deportes. Both will report to Alexander “Sandy” Brown, president of Sports, Univision Communications Inc.“As one with extensive sports and consumer marketing experience, Vicky will be critical in building the next phase of our brand’s growth. Sharon’s success in developing and managing a news infrastructure in a cross-cultural environment will prove invaluable as we build out this important area within our programming base,” said Brown.In this new role based in New York, Vitarelli will oversee all strategic marketing and brand building endeavors for Univision’s sports properties across all media platforms. Based in Miami and also in a newly created role, van Zwieten will be charged with overseeing Univision’s sports news programming.
