With productions such as La Viuda Negra, Metástasis, El Varón De La Droga and Confesiones Peligrosas, UniMás hopes to capture the demographic of 30-year olds; alternative programming to the traditional novelas featured on sister network Univision. “UniMás’ primetime must have alternative content to what Univision viewers are used to watching. Alternative content is anything that is different, focused on a young male audience averaging 30 years of age, without excluding women from the equation,” said to PRODU Alberto Ciurana, president of Programming and Content of Univision Networks. Ciurana added that La Viuda Negra, which premieres this month, is the first of a line of alternative series for UniMás. “This great series is produced by Patricio Wills, and without a doubt will be a hit. It will be followed by Sony’s Metástasis, Confesiones Peligrosas, from our Cisneros Media partners, as well as other products Patricio is working on and some other from Sony,” he added.
