Univision names Juan Carlos Rodríguez as president of Univision Deportes

Univision has appointed Juan Carlos Rodríguez as president of Univision Deportes. Rodriguez will be responsible for leading the sports division through all platforms. “We are proud to have a leading sports executive like Juan Carlos lead the Univision Deportes team” said César Conde, president of Univision Networks whom Rodríguez will report to. “Beyond his unparalleled success working at Televisa, Juan Carlos is a true visionary and entrepreneur who understands our audience and the sports content they want to consume”. Rodríguez previously held the position of CEO of Televisa Deportes Network. During his time at Televisa he helped launch of TDN and its sister properties TDN HD, TDN2.0, TDN Centro America and TDW, the No. 1 Mexican sports radio brand in Mexico.“Univision Deportes is a sports powerhouse that is poised to continue delivering to its partners, clients and viewers” said Rodriguez. “The opportunities to drive greater results within Univision Deportes are endless based on its deep connection and understanding of Hispanic sports fans”.
