ViacomCBS: Generate greater growth with OTT products

The international OTT and the studios, businesses that are under the direct responsibility of Pierluigi Gazzolo, are the two areas in which ViacomCBS hopes to have the largest growth in upcoming years. 

“In OTT we are going to seek larger growth both in pay products -SVOD- and in the free ones such as Pluto TV. In pay products, we already started very aggressively in Latin America with Paramount + and Noggin. The idea is to find how to take those products to the next level now that we are merged with CBS to be able to offer a product that is superior to the global one, that has a combination of all the super contents we have at Viacom, both in Latin American and in Europe, Asia, and the US. I am going to be handling the OTT product for International, but obviously I have to work closely with the domestic US, but the idea is for the product to be one and strong,” explains Gazzolo.

The second responsibility, the studios, goes hand in hand with OTT, mentioned the executive. There, the goal is to continue increasing the success they have had with Viacom International Studios (VIS) in Latin America and expand it to other territories.

“We already opened offices in the United Kingdon and in Madrid for Europe and soon another division in Asia to continue expanding the studio business there. I am very excited because we have a lot of spectacular content assets that can be commercialized internationally. I am very excited over the possibility of combining these milestones that in the past belonged only to Latin America, but now, we have all the ones that are being built in the UK, in Asia, and in Europe,” she commented.
