The new audiovisual brand Micelio Media Group was born after the merger of the content businesses of Secuoya Studios and BTF Media, which will have a presence in Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and the United States. With this alliance, they estimate a volume of more than 150 formats and audiovisual content.

Secuoya Studios and BTF Media will continue their businesses and brand as usual in their countries of origin, Spain and Mexico, respectively, while Micelio Media Group will be the joint structure resulting from the merger of their satellite offices, as well as responsible for the development of projects in other territories such as Colombia and the US. Likewise, both companies are involved in conversations with various partners to extend their presence in Latin America.

The group will optimize resources by merging different areas, which will result in its own distributor within the company that will be responsible for the representation in the different territories and the global commercialization of the catalogs, both historical and current, as well as intellectual property rights (IP) of new projects of Secuoya Studios, BTF Media and of the future companies that are integrated into this merger.

Raúl Berdonés, president of Secuoya Grupo de Comunicación, highlighted the importance of this alliance, as it provides competitiveness, creative talent, and business volume, with which they will be able to face more powerful projects. ‟In short, the bigger we are, the more possibilities we will have to grow and successfully reach agreements with the most prominent companies in the sector,” he said after highlighting the agreement announced on Wednesday with Telemundo Streaming Studios, for the development of fiction projects, “business philosophy that will make the group one of the most relevant in the production of content.”

For Ricardo Coeto, CCO, and Francisco Cordero, CEO, both founders of BTF Media, the merger of the content business with Secuoya Studios consolidates and strengthens the expansion strategy on which BTF Media has worked in recent years. “We firmly believe that our joint vision of the future of the audiovisual industry unites us and presents us not only with a panorama where alliances increasingly make sense but also multiplies our possibilities of being predominant in the creative offer, in development and in the production of content that manages to be relevant worldwide and created in collaboration with the best Spanish-speaking talents,” they said.

Micelio Media Group will produce fiction stories, unscripted formats, and films. The announcement was made within the framework of Iberseries Platino Industria.
