Telemundo Media names Pepe Suárez executive producer of Alternative Programming

Suárez developed his artistic career and production expertise in Mexico’s Televisa for almost 20 years

Telemundo Media announced that award-winning actor/comedian, producer and writer, Pepe Suárez joins the network as executive producer, Alternative Programming. In this newly created position, Suárez will be based in Los Angeles and report to María López- Álvarez, senior vice president of Alternative Programming. In this new role, Suárez will focus on the development of comedy and variety shows for the network’s alternative programming team. In addition, he will have a role as comedic talent, thus contributing both in front and behind the camera. His first on-air appearance with Telemundo will be in the morning magazine show Levántate, where he will produce and appear in comedic segments during the London 2012 Olympic Games. “We welcome José and his dynamic talent to Telemundo. His sound experience, exceptional creativity and proven versatility make him an ideal addition to both our programming development team and our on-air talent roster,” said López- Álvarez. A leading personality in the Hispanic entertainment world, Suárez has extensive and wide-ranging experience in film, theater and television, covering virtually all facets of acting and production development. With more than 35 years in the entertainment industry, Suárez developed his artistic career and production expertise in Mexico’s Televisa for almost 20 years. Most recently, he was executive producer at Estrella TV since 2006.
