Jim Zoolalian: En cierto modo me contratan para lo

Jim Zoolalian has directed commercials for more than a decade, including campaigns for Lexus, Sprint, Sears, 7-Eleven, Budweiser, MTV and many more. It is considered as a natural-born storyteller. Known for his career in comedy and his filmic and commercial work, which is characterized by an apparent lack of technical effort. His spots have appeared in AdWeek, Creativity and Communications Arts.His short film Miracle managed to be awarded the prize of the judges at the International Cannes Film Festival 2011.Since childhood, he was destined to lead. Zoolalian studied film at the Art Center in Pasadena and UCLA. After winning several awards for his student and short film works, he was offered his first management contract for T Minus 30 Films in 1994. He quickly achieved success, and started working for the best creative agencies like Team One, Arnold Worldwide and Carmichael Lynch. In 1999, Shoot Magazine named him one of their most promising directors. The following year, he joined Boxer Films.In his long career, he has discovered that what he likes most about this job is directing the actors. “I love from the casting process to guide them through the story of the commercial. It’s great when I can help an actor get a sense of humor or timing of a spot. I am hired to ensure that the actors understand the minds of the writer and the art director, and when you see the actor getting it, it’s rewarding” Zoolalian said. Although he dedicates all his projects to his children, he loves making content and images to connect with people, “something that can show the human truth through the story. I want to be able to look back on my work and say yes, the visual style has evolved, but the basic idea and the story are still relevant. It’s the classic story”.Although he did not state what his future plans are, he said that he will continue doing business and developing TV and film projects.To learn a bit more about Zoolalian, the director concluded by revealing that his film tastes are a mix of classic and current. “I love Fellini and Kubrick. But I also love filmmakers today, including: Alexander Payne, Guillermo del Toro and Christopher Nolan”.Production company:Boxer Films, USAContact: {John Clark;jclark@boxerfilms.net}T +1-310-559-8333{Watch video;http://www.produ.com/publicidad/videos/index.html?Noti=8543}
