RCN Televisión will soon launch in the international market the RCN Total application, which includes three linear pay channels — Nuestra Tele Internacional, RCN Novelas, and NTN24 — and two Free Ad-Supported Streaming (FAST) channels, RCN Más and RCN Xtra; in addition to a wide variety of on-demand fiction and non-fiction content, and exclusive content from RCN Televisión partners.

“The RCN Total application will be the most complete product in the RCN Televisión international market. In a few days we will be launching our application, we are already in the last tests and demos,” said Julián Giraldo, EVP of International Channels, RCN Televisión. He added that, for starters, the application will have close to two thousand hours available of content and every week they will be adding new content.

For now, the application will be distributed in the US Hispanic market through cable systems. “In the rest of the world, it will go directly to the consumer, unless we reach commercial agreements with the large distributors in the region and Spain where RCN is highly demanded.”

Giraldo mentioned that, in addition to the paid linear signals that people still enjoy watching, customers will also be able to choose when and how to view their favorite content. “They can access our application from a computer, tablet, television, or even a cell phone.”

“We are sure that the application will have a great reception because it solves the dilemma of limited space on the grid. Our audience constantly demands from us melodramas and series that, due to programming, do not fit on the grills. This will be a unique opportunity for our audience to access the vast content of RCN Televisión. There are already more than ten agreements signed with allied channels that will complement the content of RCN in the RCN Total application,” he concluded.
